Our Students Presented Their TÜBİTAK 2209-A Supported Projects at an International Symposium

Our department students participated in the 2nd International Yıldırım Bayezid Symposium on Scientific Research and Innovation, held in Bursa on May 8-9, 2026, and presented two important academic papers. These studies were shared on an international platform as the scientific outputs of the projects supported within the scope of the TÜBİTAK 2209-A University Students Research Projects Support Program.

At the symposium, the paper titled “Pardus Operating System Awareness: A Peer Training for Vocational School Students” was presented by the Project Team İbrahim GÜNEY, Aykut KURUN, Reyyan ALBAYRAK, and Sanem Nur YILDIZ, under the supervision of Lecturer Fatma BARKUŞ.

In addition, the paper titled “Developing an Effective Guidance System with Announcements During an Earthquake” was presented by the Project Team Hüseyin KAYABAŞI, Ezgi YÜKSEL, Rümeysa GÜLTEKİN, and Gökçen İNAN, under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Neslihan KILAR.

The papers presented at the symposium held in Bursa focused on critical and innovative topics ranging from awareness of domestic software to safe guidance systems during earthquakes. The presentation of the projects carried out with TÜBİTAK support at an academic congress has been an important achievement in terms of enabling our students to gain experience in scientific research processes.

We congratulate our students and project supervisors and wish them continued success.
