New Developments in Artificial Insemination (Interview and Application)
On May 6, 2026, a seminar entitled "Recent Developments in Artificial Insemination" was conducted with the participation of students from our department. The seminar was delivered by Veterinary Surgeon Nuray Aplak, a distinguished alumna of our university. During the event, participants were informed about recent technological advances in artificial insemination, current practices in reproductive biotechnology, factors affecting conception success, and innovative approaches used in the livestock industry. The seminar provided students with valuable insights into contemporary developments in the field and offered an opportunity for interactive discussion through a question-and-answer session.
Following the seminar, a practical training session was carried out on dairy cattle at the Ayhan Şahenk Agricultural Research and Application Farm. During the hands-on activity, artificial insemination procedures were demonstrated using a camera-assisted system, enabling students to observe the reproductive tract in detail and better understand the insemination process. The practical session allowed participants to reinforce their theoretical knowledge through direct observation of modern reproductive technologies and field applications.
This educational activity contributed significantly to the professional development of our students by combining theoretical instruction with practical experience. Furthermore, it strengthened the connection between current students and alumni while promoting the use of modern technologies in veterinary reproductive management.
