Circular Art: From Recycling to Economic Value
We are pleased to announce the approval of our project, prepared under the coordination of the Economics and Art Club operating within the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University, and to be carried out in partnership with the Istanbul University Art Club and the Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University Green Collar Club. This project, planned to be implemented in Istanbul, focuses on bringing waste materials back into the economy with artistic added value. In our study, structured with an interdisciplinary methodology, the relationship between environmental economics, sustainable production, and creative industries will be analyzed through tangible works and an auction simulation.
The main objectives of the project are defined as: To strengthen intellectual and artistic interaction between universities. To observe the potential of art to create economic value on objects through a scientific simulation. We hope that this initiative, which brings art and economics together for a sustainable future, will contribute to the academic vision of our universities.
