Our faculty member, Assoc. Prof. Andaç Batur ÇOLAK, delivered a “Scientific Article Writing Training” on April 20, 2026, at our University’s Congress and Culture Center. The training addressed all stages of a scientific article—from the initial idea to the publication process—through a holistic approach.

Assoc. Prof. Andaç Batur ÇOLAK shared with participants a synthesis of his experiences as an author, reviewer, and editor, providing valuable insights into how to produce a high-quality academic study.

Within the scope of the program, strategies were comprehensively discussed, including writing effective titles and abstracts, defining the problem and identifying the research gap in the introduction section, ensuring scientific validity and reproducibility in the methods section, presenting results clearly and accurately, and emphasizing scientific contribution in the discussion and conclusion sections.

In addition, publication processes in internationally indexed journals, expectations of editors and reviewers, evaluation criteria, common mistakes, and approaches to address situations that may lead to article rejection were explained through examples.

The training was enriched with Q&A sessions and real-life experience sharing, offering participants the opportunity to approach the scientific article writing process from a more systematic, informed, and strategic perspective.
