Course Objective
The aim of the course is to develop the ability to analyze and interpret macroeconomic issues using basic econometric techniques. It is aimed to focus on how to establish an econometric model of a macroeconomic economics question and how to obtain data. It is to provide an understanding of how the economy acts as a whole by determining the connection and interaction between the macroeconomic variables of the country's economies within the global economic system.
Brief Content of the Course
Examinations will be made on selected topics of macroeconomics. Issues such as economic growth, economic fluctuations, consumption and investment, monetary aggregates (money supply, money demand, interest), inflation, unemployment, financial aggregates (budget balance), balance of payments (current balance, terms of trade), are in terms of establishing an econometric model. will be examined. It is aimed that students have detailed information about data sources and data collection methods. At the same time, the basic econometric techniques used in macroeconomic analysis will be explained.
