Course Objective
This course aims to introduce students to the concept and applications of plant modeling in sustainable agriculture, to provide an overview of different plant models and their strengths and limitations, to develop students' ability to create and apply plant models, to evaluate their performance and to identify sources of errors, to provide software tools and programming used in plant modelling. to introduce them to languages, to encourage them to think critically and conduct independent research with real-world applications, to provide a better understanding of plant modeling in socio-economic and environmental contexts, to develop written and verbal communication skills, to create a collaborative learning environment that encourages active participation and teamwork, and to develop plant modeling skills. or aims to prepare them for further study or professional work in related fields.
Brief Content of the Course
This course covers the fundamentals of plant modeling and includes different model types, model building and parameterization methods, model evaluation and sensitivity analysis, software tools and programming languages, real-world applications, socio-economic and environmental contexts, communication and collaboration, sustainability and future directions .
