Course Objective
The student learns the technical properties of paints and drawings materials. In addition, it is aimed to experiment with various materials and to produce products.
Brief Content of the Course
Paints: Pigments, Dyestuffs, Effect of light in paints. Paint Holders: Natural holders, Artificial holders, Thinners and solvents; Brushes: Properties and usage areas of brushes; Paint Floors: Preparation of canvas, Oil and watercolor papers and their properties. Painting Paints: Watercolor, Gouache, Oil Painting, Acrylic paint, Protective and Decorative Paints: Synthetic paints, Cellulosic paints, Acrylic paints. Paint Fillings: Heads and lithos. Types of drawing materials and their properties. Paint preservatives. Decorative painting techniques and properties of materials used.
