Course Objective

General concepts related to design, definition of engineering, history of engineering designs, rules of machine design. Methods of using information about machine elements, technical drawing, mechanism technique, material, manufacturing methods, ergonomics for design purposes. Standards used in machine design, drawing of standard machine elements, assembly drawing, dimensioning, tolerances and connections and shapes. Design process, starting design, determining the problem, functional features, drafting, collecting information. Development of design, solution methods, necessary synthesis for design. Orientation to solution in design, methods used for solution, decision making. Cost analysis, risk and reliability in design. Computer Aided Design; Computer aided technical drawings, calculations, solid modeling and simulation. Structural analysis of design, examination of analysis methods such as finite elements, networking Kinematic analysis, flow analysis, temperature analysis 2D and 3D designs, control and optimization. Material assignment and definition. Transient analysis. Important features of agricultural machinery design, agricultural machinery design parameters. It is the examination of some agricultural machines in terms of design.
