Course Objective
In this course, the information will be given about viruses and virion, general structure of the viral genome and viral replication, prevention of diseases which caused by viruses. Also the useage of viruses in biotechnology researches.
Brief Content of the Course
The general structure of the virus, virion, basic elements of viruses such as capsid, capsomeres; viral genome, DNA viruses, RNA viruses, reverse transcription and viral replication; viral diversity and viral diseases; plant and animal viruses; the useage of viruses in gene transfer and application of biotechnology are among the topics to be covered in this course.
