Course Objectives 
1Ability to explain the components and models of electrical power systems, fundamental concepts of system analysis, and perform the necessary calculations.
2Ability to analyze and design electrical power systems using the per-unit (pu) method.
3Ability to explain the purpose of load flow analysis and to perform load flow solutions using the Gauss, Gauss-Seidel, and Newton-Raphson methods.
4Ability to analyze symmetrical and asymmetrical faults and to calculate fault currents and their effects.
5Ability to construct bus admittance and impedance matrices and utilize them in system analyses.
