Course Objective
The aim of this course is to teach the fundamental of image processing, image analysis, image correction and enhancement, feature extraction. Student will have a necessary background to analys and implement image procesisng applications in different fields
Brief Content of the Course
Image production mechanisms and standards, digital image formats, Image Analysis, First and second order derivative-based edge detection operators and applications, image segmentation, image processing, discrete transforms and its applications, Pattern classification and recognition, improving the quality of the image, restoration, spatial and spectral filtering techniques, lossless and lossy compression methods. The importance of image processing in sustainable development.
