1To teach the fundamental concepts of cell biology.
2To introduce the chemical structure of the cell and biomolecules.
3To explain cell types, molecular organization, and the functions of organelles.
4To describe cellular energy metabolism.
5To teach the mechanisms of the cell cycle and cell division.
6To enable students to understand Mendelian genetics, the concept of the gene, and the molecular basis of inheritance.
7To teach the structure of DNA and RNA, and the processes of replication, transcription, and translation.
8To explain the biological significance of mutations and DNA repair mechanisms.
9 To introduce recombinant DNA technology, cytogenetics, and prenatal diagnostic methods.
10To provide basic knowledge about cancer biology and cell death mechanisms (apoptosis).
