1Knowledge of internal medicine, including chest diseases, cardiology, rheumatology, hematology, oncology, endocrinology and metabolic diseases, neurology, and infectious diseases.
2Ability to describe diseases encountered in internal medicine, their pathophysiology, symptoms, medications, and other medical treatment modalities.
3Knowledge of detailed methods (laboratory tests, radiologic, and clinical evaluation) used in the diagnosis of diseases encountered in internal medicine, and the ability to interpret them during clinical follow-up.
4Knowledge of the differential diagnosis process for diseases encountered in internal medicine.
5Knowledge of detailed information about drug treatments, side effects, and cautions for diseases encountered in internal medicine.
6Ability to describe other treatment modalities for diseases encountered in internal medicine.
7Knowledge of how to collaborate with all healthcare professionals on the treatment team in the management of diseases encountered in internal medicine.
