Course Objective
To convey information to students about the importance of trace elements and the techniques used in trace element analysis.
Brief Content of the Course
Definition and importance of trace elements, analytical criteria in trace element analysis, sample taking in trace element analysis, sample preparation in trace element analysis, chelation phenomenon and properties of chelators, metal-ligand interaction and determination of metal-ligand interaction by UV spectroscopy, trace element analysis by solid phase extraction, liquid-liquid extractions and micelle formation, trace element analysis by atomic spectroscopic methods, trace element analysis by electroanalytical methods, trace element analysis by spectrophotometric methods, and problem solutions related to trace element analysis are included in the scope of this course.
