Course Objective
The aim is to convey the place and importance of the guitar, a school instrument, in music education; to enable students to accompany school songs and folk songs; to provide them with the musical and instrumental skills to play basic polyphonic guitar pieces; to teach them to play the guitar; and to equip them with the knowledge to form guitar ensembles.
Brief Content of the Course
Establishing the basic sitting and holding position on the guitar, introducing and reinforcing the right hand position, practicing right hand-left hand coordination, teaching the guitar tuning system, reinforcing the locations of notes on the guitar, playing simple études and melodies, teaching how chords are formed on the guitar, and composing new songs with simple rhythms (2/4, 4/4, 3/4) , provide chord accompaniment and sing along to designated school songs and easy folk tunes, and play basic polyphonic pieces.
