Course Objective
To be able to compose a repertoire from the Turkish Folk Music Repertoire and sing it correctly. To use the correct voice and breathing. To gain the knowledge and skills of ensemble performance.
Brief Content of the Course
Studies on sound production based on proper breathing, using the voice in the right place and with the right intonation, expanding and enriching resonance areas, and achieving a sound integrated with the choir; the Turkish music sound system and sound types; demonstrating basic behaviors in carrying out individual and collective work; developing interpretation skills; acquiring choral culture and discipline; performing Turkish folk music works according to their regional characteristics; creating a repertoire of Turkish folk music works appropriate for different regions, forms, modes, makams, and levels.
