Course Objective
Evaluating Holistic Planning and Land Use and Ensuring Long-Term Social, Economic and Environmental Sustainability of Landscape Ecosystem and Resources.
Brief Content of the Course
Definition, concept and scope of landscape management. Development process of landscape management concept. Landscape management under the European Landscape Convention. Basic principles of landscape management. Theoretical approaches to landscape management and exemplifying these approaches. Definition of quantitative landscape parameters in landscape management. Structure, function and change characteristics of landscape. Indicators in landscape management, temporal and spatial change. Sustainability in landscape management, system perspective, holistic and transdisciplinary approaches.
