Course Objective
Defining the basic concept and terms of Archaeology. Identifying the departments of Archaeology. Telling the basic of Architecture, Ceramic and the other departments.
Brief Content of the Course
Different methods applied in residential and structures are explained. Technological tools and equipment, project planning, data collection, documentation and evaluation methods are taught with examples. Excavations and surveys in Turkey, the development of art history, excavations and studies in progress are described. Byzantine, Seljuk and Ottoman periods in Anatolia by selecting one of the sites of excavations and surveys, and historical sites are inspected.
