2To gain knowledge about the political history, culture, and cultural interactions of Ancient Western Asia.
3To learn the influences of Ancient Mesopotamian and Egyptian civilizations from that period to the present in fields such as language, religion, art, medicine, astronomy, architecture, music, mathematics, fashion, and technology.
4To arouse academic curiosity in students and direct them toward research.
5To enable students to develop the ability to produce new studies and ideas in the field.
