Course Objective
The aim of this course is to enable students to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary for effective mathematics education by recognizing the assessment and evaluation element of the mathematics curriculum. For this reason, the place and importance of assessment and evaluation in education, basic concepts in assessment, classical and complementary evaluation techniques and how these should be applied in mathematics teaching will be discussed in detail.
Brief Content of the Course
This course will primarily focus on the place, importance and general principles of assessment and evaluation in education in relation to the primary school mathematics program and the characteristics of the primary school student. Students will acquire the ability to identify, prepare, apply and score appropriate assessment techniques for different mathematical topics by recognizing classical and complementary assessment techniques
