1To understand and explain the fundamental concepts and theories of the sociology of religion.
2To analyze the concepts of secularization, desecularization, laicism, and modernization within their historical and social contexts.
3To comparatively evaluate the relationship between religion, state, and society through examples from Turkey and the West.
4To determine the level of secularization in a society using sociological research methods.
5To strengthen students' abilities to conduct independent research and develop philosophical and sociological analytical perspectives.
