Course Objective
The aim of this course is to provide basic theoretical information about grammar teaching and to apply existing activities and/or produce new activities in this context.
Brief Content of the Course
Fundamental concepts of grammar; fundamental characteristics of Turkish in terms of sound, form, meaning, and syntax; grammar teaching and its purpose; evaluation of grammar teaching models and approaches (Behaviorist, Cognitive, and Constructivist) in Turkish Language Curricula; grammar outcomes in the Turkish Language Curriculum (Grades 1-8); topics in grammar teaching (phonology, morphology, semantics) and the order to be followed; methods and techniques, examples of activities; text-centered grammar teaching practices.
