As part of the “Türkiye International Exchange Scholarship Program (TIES)”, which is being implemented for the first time by the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB) and for which our university has been selected as the pilot institution, a webinar was held on Friday, April 25, 2025, at 17:00 (Türkiye time) and 08:00 (Costa Rica time) at the Instituto Tecnológico de Costa Rica.

During this online event, Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University, along with its Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Technologies, introduced its undergraduate (conducted in English) and graduate programs, as well as its research infrastructure and facilities. In addition, detailed information was provided about this new scholarship program, for which our university serves as the pilot implementing institution.

The main objective of the TIES program is to strengthen international social, cultural, and economic relations, to enhance knowledge accumulation in the field of higher education, and to expand connections established through international exchange students. Information was shared with participants on the application process, eligibility criteria, and the scholarships and supports provided within the scope of the program. It was emphasized that our university is ready to expand institutional cooperation through this initiative.

Following the presentation, ideas were exchanged on potential strategic collaborations with higher education institutions in Latin American countries within the framework of the TIES program, and initial contacts were established for possible partnerships.
