This course focuses on the preparation and implementation of enriched language teaching activities in order to improve the language skills of students who have not attained the level of reading, writing, speaking, listening, and visual literacy appropriate to the level in which they are not mentally and physically disabled; focuses on the techniques, methods and activities related to how to teach reading and writing to children whose mother tongue is different; focuses on how to teach the students from different socio-economic backgrounds with different level of prior knowledge and therefore having trouble in acquiring and using language skills an the students who cannot acquire and use the language skills adequately because of various reasons (non-adaptation, insufficient and poor home conditions, family violence) at school and home, approaches, methods, techniques and implementations used in the teaching process of Turkish as a foreign/second language to the children migrating.
