OBJECTIVES

The objectives of the Music Education Department’s Undergraduate and Graduate Programs are as follows:

  • To develop students’ musical performance skills, aural perception, theoretical knowledge, and creative expression.
  • To educate qualified music teachers who possess strong pedagogical formation and can apply contemporary instructional approaches effectively.
  • To strengthen a music education perspective that recognizes, preserves, and integrates cultural heritage into teaching processes.
  • To enhance digital literacy and innovative practice by supporting the pedagogical use of music technologies.
  • To increase student engagement in community service, cultural sustainability, and artistic production activities.
  • To foster academic development by supporting research skills, critical thinking, and lifelong learning.
  • To cultivate strong competencies in collaboration, communication, leadership, and professional ethics.
  • To enhance the visibility of the program by encouraging participation in artistic and academic events at local, national, and international levels.
