Supply Colonel Özcan Yetiş, the Bor Garrison Commander, and Colonel Ali Okan Özkul, the Manager of the 7th Main Maintenance Factory, visited our Faculty to discuss education and strategic cooperation processes.

Bor Garrison Commander Supply Colonel Özcan Yetiş, 7th Main Maintenance Factory Manager Colonel Ali Okan Özkul, and their accompanying delegation paid an official visit to our Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences. During the meeting held in the Faculty’s Deanery meeting hall, the importance of university-public cooperation in the defense and information technology sectors was emphasized.

Academic Support and Future Vision

The meeting was hosted by our Dean Prof. Dr. Alper Aytekin, Vice Dean Asst. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Nadir Kurnaz, and the Head of the Information Systems and Technologies Department, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Andaç Batur Çolak. During the session, projects aimed at contributing to the digital transformation and technological competency processes of military units were discussed.

The main agenda items of the meeting were as follows:

• Specialized Training: Plans were made for training programs to be provided by our faculty members to military personnel regarding information technologies and current software solutions.

• R&D and Cooperation: Foundations were laid for joint projects in the fields of information systems, data security, and defense technologies to be implemented in the future.

• Institutional Interaction: It was decided to establish a sustainable dialogue mechanism to integrate academic knowledge with field experience.

The visit concluded following a productive exchange of views, with a mutual commitment to solidifying these cooperative steps.
