At the Interuniversity Kickboxing Turkey Championship, held in Balıkesir between April 9–11, 2025, our university’s students achieved notable success.

Kutay Şimşek secured 2nd place in the 79 kg Kick Light category, while Oğuzhan Erfidan earned 2nd place in the 69 kg Kick Light category, both winning silver medals with their outstanding performances.

In a highly competitive environment, our students stood out with their technical skills and determination. Credit also goes to Coach Halil İbrahim Şimşek and Team Manager Lecturer Kamil Cesur, whose support played a key role in this achievement.

In a statement by the university administration, it was expressed that they are proud of the athletes’ accomplishments and that support for sports will continue to grow.
