NÖHÜ Dental Hospital Continues to Achieve Firsts

The Faculty of Dentistry Hospital of Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University, which provides tertiary-level oral and dental healthcare services, has, for the first time, been granted the status of a training clinic in the fields of orthodontics and endodontics.

Having obtained a health tourism certification in just two years and equipped with the most advanced technological infrastructure in its region, our hospital continues to grow rapidly with this important development. As part of the new structure, two residents will be accepted into each specialty through the Dental Specialty Examination (DUS). Dentist candidates undergoing specialty training will be supported by advanced treatment opportunities and a strong academic environment, and will be trained in a modern setting to become the leading dental specialists of the future.

Thus, within only two years, our hospital has become a key institution in the city — recognized both for holding a health tourism certificate and for having the most modern infrastructure among clinicalized dental hospitals — and continues to expand steadily.

“We Set the Standards in Our Region”

Rector Prof. Dr. Hasan Uslu emphasized in his statement that our university is not only a leader in education but also in healthcare services across the region. Highlighting that the Faculty of Dentistry’s authorization as a training clinic in orthodontics and endodontics reflects both our academic capacity and technological infrastructure, he stated:

“Our hospital, equipped with the latest digital systems, will not only continue to provide high-quality healthcare services but also train the specialists of the future under the best possible conditions. As Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University, we are determined to continue progressing on the path of qualified healthcare and academic development.”

Rector Uslu concluded by announcing that efforts are underway to strengthen our academic staff in order to enable the admission of residents in other departments in the coming years.
