Our Faculty was established by the Presidential Decree No. 1773 dated 10/11/2019, published in the Official Gazette. With its young and dynamic academic staff possessing scientific and clinical competence in their fields, our Faculty will admit its first students this year and commence education and training. Through the Faculty of Dentistry Hospital equipped with state-of-the-art technology, it will provide oral and dental health diagnosis and treatment services at the highest level to our city and the surrounding region.

Commencing education for the first time this academic year, our Faculty aims to train prospective young dentists who join us to become dental professionals who effectively utilize all the knowledge brought by technology, adhere to ethical values, are capable of producing new knowledge, conduct research, question when necessary, and develop solutions. This objective will be achieved through a highly competent and experienced young academic staff. Accordingly, at the end of the five-year education period, graduates of our Faculty will begin their professional careers as qualified dentists who are well-versed in innovations, capable of continuous learning, and proficient in accessing and utilizing knowledge. The education and training regulations of our Faculty have been established in line with these objectives.

Within this framework, students in our Dentistry Program will integrate their theoretical knowledge with practices related to the protection of oral and dental health and the treatment of diseases, thereby establishing the foundation for their clinical education. Through preclinical laboratory practice training, phantom (educational simulation unit) laboratory practice training, chairside training during clinical internships, and sample case analyses, our students will acquire professional and social skills and successfully complete the clinical practice internship period.

With its Faculty of Dentistry Hospital and educational activities, our Faculty will represent a highly valuable step for both our city of Niğde and our students.
