Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University Teaching and Learning Center (NÖMER) was established in 2022 by a decision of the university senate with the aim of improving the quality of education and enhancing teaching and learning processes. This center aims to conduct educational activities in a more effective, efficient, and sustainable manner. NÖMER aims to encourage a continuous development process by considering the needs of students, academic staff, and administrative personnel. By developing innovative approaches, NÖMER aims to enrich learning environments and increase the academic success of all stakeholders.
In this context, the center's purpose is:
- The center provides the following services to contribute to the improvement of learning processes and teaching at the University:
a) Conducting programs to support the academic and social development of students.
b) Offering programs aimed at enriching and improving teaching for faculty members.
c) Organizing orientation programs for newly appointed faculty members and providing seminars and training to improve their teaching skills.
c) To support the conduct of high-quality research aimed at improving the learning environment, the publication of research results, and the planning and implementation of arrangements to improve learning and teaching by sharing them with relevant internal units.
d) To organize seminars and trainings to support the professional development of administrative staff and increase their efficiency in their work.
e) To provide consultancy services within the scope of the Center's areas of activity.
- The Center, in line with the University's vision, adheres to professional and ethical principles, and is open to development and innovation, paying attention to providing services tailored to the needs of students, faculty, and administrative staff.
