On May 5th, a Hand-Shaped Cookie Making Workshop was organized for World Hand Hygiene Day
In collaboration with Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University Oral and Dental Health Application and Research Center and the Coordinatorship of Community Engagement, and with the contributions of the Culinary Arts Program at the Vocational School of Social Sciences, a cookie-making workshop was held on May 5th to raise awareness as part of World Hand Hygiene Day.
The event began at the Oral and Dental Health Application and Research Center with a brief hygiene training session. Participants were informed about the importance of hand hygiene, the role of hygiene in preventing infectious diseases, and proper handwashing techniques. Following the informative session, participants moved on to the cookie-making activity under the guidance of instructors from the Culinary Arts Program.
The workshop was attended by the Chief Physician of the Oral and Dental Health Application and Research Center, Lecturer Dilek Yaprak Uslu from the Culinary Arts Program, as well as other faculty members and students. Participants expressed their satisfaction with the event, which not only raised awareness about hygiene but also provided a hands-on experience.
The event aimed to highlight the importance of hand hygiene and contribute to the development of public health awareness. As a successful example of inter-institutional collaboration, similar events with different themes are planned to be organized in the future.
